From I/O list to remote diagnostics

Everything from a single source: application, testing, commissioning, operation and the right app - for every Climatix controller, from the POL63x, POL64x and POL68x controllers to the compact S400. As a Siemens Climatix OEM Partner, we work directly with the Siemens Smart Infrastructure OEM team and speak the language of plant manufacturers, planners and operators.

Application development

Custom control programs in Climatix Project Studio Automation based on the Climatix library, configured and parameterised in SCOPE - from standard applications to bespoke special solutions.

Factory test & commissioning

Our own I/O test application for testing the control panel before delivery, followed by structured on-site commissioning - faults are found in the workshop, not on the construction site.

Climatix IC connection

Network and cloud configuration of the controllers, activation in the tenant, dashboards for operators and service technicians - securely via port 443.

Alarming & trends

Well-designed alarm concepts with priorities and notifications, trend logging for analysis and optimisation - so faults are spotted before the building gets cold.

Fieldbus & integration

Integration of meters, sensors and third-party devices via Modbus RTU/TCP, with data provided to the building management system via BACnet.

Service & further development

Firmware and BSP updates, modifications during operation, remote maintenance via Climatix IC - including for plants we did not build ourselves.

Climatix is designed for commercial and industrial HVAC plants. Typical projects for us:

From plant schematic to running plant

A clear process with defined handover points - transparent for plant manufacturers, planners and operators.

  1. Requirements

    Agree the plant schematic, functional description and I/O list together.

  2. Application

    Develop the control program in Climatix Project Studio Automation, configure it in SCOPE and document it.

  3. Factory test

    Check the control panel and wiring with the I/O test application.

  4. Commissioning & cloud

    Tune the plant, connect it to Climatix IC and hand it over to the operator.

The Siemens smartHMI app (iOS/Android) and the HMI4Web interface show the operating pages of the application - on site via the network or through the cloud. We set up pages, graphics and access so they work in daily operation.

Substation with an interface to the network operator

Control of a district heating substation with system separation and hot water boost: heating curve, storage charging, three heat meters via M-Bus and averaged return temperature. A Modbus RTU server with 41 registers for the network operator, remote monitoring via Climatix IC for the operator.

Third-party controller brought into the cloud

An IFM controller sends its values via Modbus to a Climatix S400, which makes them available in Climatix IC. Data point mapping, operating pages and a clear alarm concept: one common fault instead of 45 individual alarms - the cause is in the data points.

What is Climatix?

Climatix is a family of freely programmable Siemens controllers for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC). The control program is developed in Climatix Project Studio Automation (successor to SAPRO) and configured and commissioned with the SCOPE engineering tool. The controllers are particularly well suited to plant manufacturers and series applications. The family includes the POL controllers (POL63x, POL64x, POL68x) and the compact S400 - we program all of them.

What does Climatix IC offer?

Climatix IC is the Siemens cloud platform for Climatix controllers. It enables remote monitoring, alarming, trend analysis and remote access over the internet - without a VPN and without open ports at the operator's site, as the connection is established from the controller.

Can existing plants be connected?

Usually, yes. The prerequisite is a controller with an Ethernet interface and sufficiently recent firmware; older versions can usually be brought up to date with an update. We check this in advance based on the controller type and firmware version.

Do you also take over plants programmed by others?

Yes. We analyse the existing application, fix faults and develop it further - including retrospective documentation on request.

Which interfaces are supported?

Depending on the controller, Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP for meters, sensors and third-party devices, plus BACnet for connection to the building management system. Analogue signals such as 4…⁠20 mA are acquired directly at the controller.

How does Climatix support energy efficiency?

Through demand-based control strategies, clean sequencing of heat generators and the analysis of trends in the cloud. Many savings are made not during construction but during operation - once you can see what the plant is really doing.

Is there an app for Climatix plants?

Yes, in two ways. Siemens offers smartHMI, a standard app for iOS and Android that shows the operating pages of the application - we set it up. If you need more, we build your own app for iPhone and Android: with its own interface, roles, push alarms and several plants in one overview, connected via Climatix IC or locally.
